The Berkel 827A-PLUS manual slicer is designed with an angled gravity feed for reduced arm strain when slicing. Its adjustable slicing knob enables the user to finely control the thickness of each slice, and the powerful, ¹⁄₂-horsepower single speed knife motor is fully enclosed and pre-lubricated for quiet operation. Users can keep the hollow-ground, chromium-plated carbon steel knife on this slicer sharp by using the built-in knife sharpener. A 12-inch blade and powerful motor ensure this medium-duty slicer is strong enough to slice meat and vegetables in a restaurant or deli setting. This slicer is also suitable for slicing cheese in limited quantities—no more than 30 minutes per day.
