The Alto-Shaam ED2-48/2S-SS self-service countertop heated display case has a rust- and corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction that's durable to withstand daily use. Both shelves' temperatures are adjustable with a thermostat, and when the unit is hot, an indicator light shines to alert users. Two fluorescent lights mounted above each shelf enhance the display to increase impulse purchases, and because the front is open with curved glass side panels, the case supports self-service.

For access to the interior, the Alto-Shaam ED2-48/2S-SS heated display case is outfitted with rear sliding glass doors. To eliminate cold spots, it operates with Halo Heat technology that circulates heat evenly and thoroughly surrounds food.
