School cafeterias, hospital kitchens, and banquet halls can use the Alto-Shaam 1000-BQ2/96 heated holding cabinet to keep food warm and ready to serve. The unit uses Halo Heat, a controlled heat source that warms food without changing its texture, taste, or appearance. This heat is distributed throughout the interior for consistent serving temperatures, and operators can adjust the level from 60 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
Once the desired level is set, the heat light comes on and the Alto-Shaam 1000-BQ2/96 banquet cart begins heating. After the cart reaches the desired level, the light goes off, signaling it is ready for food. The cabinet can adapt to most banquet holding applications, including covered plates, covered or uncovered plate carriers, and banquet service trays. However, in order to hold the trays and banquet carriers, additional shelving is needed. Because this cart comes with six-inch casters, transporting it is simple; it has side handles for steering and a bumper that prevents accidental wall marks.
