The Vulcan MSA60 griddle has a polished steel plate that is 1 inch thick to withstand regularly heating up and cooling down without warping. Each 12-inch section of plate uses one U-shaped burner with its own thermostat to cook at different temperatures at once. These thermostats have a range of 200 to 550 degrees Fahrenheit and include chrome guards for added protection. If the flame ever goes out, gas is shut off by the pilot safety valves to prevent dangerous gas leaks. A pressure regulator and a ³⁄₄-inch connector are included to facilitate gas line hook ups.
